You said "Passport Disadvantage!" Heh-heh! Heh-heh!

I've called them that forever! You get used to patches for the iSeries from IBM -- go to Fix Central, type in the numbers, et voila! There they are.

Passport disadvantage-- they seem to be PC-oriented, and don't understand how a smoothly-working patch system should work!

Subject: RE: Customer number change in IBM records for system for sw key renewal?

Any change in business partner, sometimes machine type, and a number of
other factors will generate new customer numbers. I own two boxes from two
different business partners, and have purchased several bits of software
along the way. I think I'm up to about 20 customer numbers now, with a
couple more for Passport Disadvantage.

IBM makes great equipment and fabulous OS software but cannot get an
internal business system to work for crap. The SAP installation has only
make it worse. You're right IBM is horrible to do business with. I just
wonder how the results would be different if they ever got the business
systems part right.
