Why'd he get chewed out by the Priority Support rep?

Normally, IBM support folks are extremely patient!

I have the bad habit of not calling IBM because I like solving problems myself. Fortunately, more recently, I've -had- to call IBM first because there's usually too much going on to do my own troubleshooting. ):

The "Digital Manager" responsible for the IBM i equipment thinks calling IBM
is beneath him, ever since he got chewed out by the woman assigned as the
Priority Support representative.

Shortly thereafter, he dropped that part of the support agreement.

He get nervous when I mention that I'm writing a book about my career, and
there's a whole chapter about him and his employer.
