Given the brevity of my last message, I've been concerned that the tone may have seemed harsh. Would there be any technical or licensing hurdles that would prevent someone who is experienced with JDE World from offering a hosting service for smaller businesses? >Perhaps including some application development? Gain some economies of scale by hosting multiple tenants on a single server?
Some of the most successful hosting in the IBM i market appears to be multi-tenant iTera and Mimix hosting. One of the keys, is that the operators have lots of experience with IBM i and HA software.
Seems like a similar business model could apply for hosting an ERP system for small business. Bob, have you considered that as a business opportunity for yourself?
