Tim,
I haven't fooled with this for years but I do know
that word 12 is useless info. The document below
will at least give you some idea of what words mean
when dumping them. You have to use 65 + 21
slowly. Don't rush it when you change. I
believe there are typically 4 ports on the PCI card
(if installed) and usually the top one is the most common
one used. Find an online physical layout for the back
of your 520 if you aren't sure.

i've done that several times. still getting a6005008 with error codes
below. I have no idea what they mean. Also, during the process it asks
for the console adapter location. Either HEA adapter or external PCI
card. Im guessing its the HEA adapter, but im not sure. If it is the
external PCI card, i dont know what location code to use.

I have never managed a 9405-520 but this sounds like you are now in the
ASMI console. That is just a graphic frontend for the FSP. You will not
be
able to reset the lan console assignment there.
In the past we have had a 8203-E4A and we had to reset it via the
hardware
console panel with 65+21 functions.

It might be helpful for you to understand how the LAN console ip
assignment
mechanism works:

I see there is a "reset" option. not sure if that would help or not.
