Ok, ive been working on this and have a question. The iseries is a 9405-520. Im on the section marked "Set the console adapter location". Im not sure where it is. The two options i have are " Internal HEA port T1" and "external PCI card". Looking at the back of the iseries i see its plugged into the T5 location.

Im guessing thats the HEA port. Am i wrong?

The second option external PCI card asked for "location code". Im not sure what that is.

I am reading that you should be able to do a "console service function
(65+21)" to check your lan console IP address on the box.

See also "Section 3 - Using Control Panel to Set Console Adapter Location"

May not be totally thorough but it's a start.
