Re: dont know ip address for lan console or ethernet line

the machine is up and running. the ip addresses for both the console and 
the regular ethernet connection could be anything.

i tried the locate console option. i plugged my pc and the iseries (lan 
console) into a router. i set my pc for a 192.168 value since i believe 
that was the last address used for the iseries. I hit the search button, 
but it returns nothing.

It almost seems like i need to do a reload (have the cd's) to reset 
everthing back. or is there a way to reset from the control panel?
