I gather that you mean to convert RPG to SQL PL (Procedure Language), not
SQL/CLI. That's to say you want to end up with SQL stored procedures, user
defined functions, and triggers.

You and some other people are giving him a hard time about this
terminology, but he's not wrong. At least not as wrong as he's being
made out to be:

SQL/CLI appears to be a standardized specification for SQL to be
embedded in a host programming language. Presumably several
programming languages are SQL/CLI-compliant.
