The whole subject came up because we were updating a Tomcat context, on the MMB. Undeploying the old version took minutes, whereas undeploying on one of the faster ones takes seconds. And deploying and starting the new version on the MMB took massive amounts of CPU for several minutes.

So yes, all the measures of fast/slow you mentioned, and then some.

But Larry's assessment of raw base-model performance seems to agree with the observed data.
