Are you aware that IBM is packaging about 60 *nix utilities which are
included with the GCC bundle? See the COMMON presentation - about 16
minutes in.

The presenter (sounds like Tim Rowe) indicated that IBM wants to give
developers the tools they will need to get *nix applications running under
PASE.
