Nope, he was talking about that remote island known as Tulsa, Oklahoma. Very
few genuine IBM employees doing maintenance there.

It all boils down to the machine population in the area.

I think that person was talking about a permanent rep on the spot. I am
sure that would pretty much be limited to "great big shops". We're not.
We have genuine IBM employees come to our place regularly. They even
still service cash registers at the local chain of grocery stores. There's
plenty of IBM employees still doing hardware maintenance. On occasion, as
demand builds, IBM even staffs up.
