First, go into HMC Management, Network settings and verify your DNS,
router and what not are right. There's an option to test network
connectivity. It's basically a ping. Use it to ping That will
tell you that you've got it right.

Then go into Service Management, Connectivity, and play around with that.
Now, I am running HMC 7.3.4 sp2. Anything prior to 7 may look
drastically different.
