Ok, I have that set up and have received email for certain reportable
events on the HMC, I was just trying to ensure the temp management piece
is part of the reportable event process as well. Sounds like it should be.

Every HMC has this function from as far back as I can remember.
Click on Service Management, then Manage Servicable Event Notification.
Put in your smtp server and its port (you can usually just check your
Outlook settings on your PC for this information if you don't have it),
add
an email and select ALL Errors. Now, just hit the test button and you
should have a test email.
