I agree on that.

But IIRC, and I have not checked this, you can tell with your subscription
in what format you want to receive those newsletter (not all can be in
plain text, though). You can even change it later when editing your
profile.

Unfortenately, with some "upgrades" of their website in the past they
changed my subscription settings to HTML-format; probably not capable to
keep the original settings.

I don't WANT the clutter of HTML e-mail in my in-basket. I WANT plain text

e-mail.

It was bad enough when the newsletter stopped including the actual

information and required me to visit a web-page to read it if I was

interested. All this will do is drive me to unsubscribe completely.

I'll bet this is driven by concern for advertisers instead of concern for

subscribers (much like commercial television which I rarely watch

BECAUSE the ads are disruptive.

It's not as if there is a cost to supplying a plain-text alternative.

I'll bet it's automatically generated from the HTML version.
