I'm having trouble sending an email from an AS/400. I have sent emails before
with no problem. I can't figure out what is causing the problem now.
The email is sent from PA Townsend & Associates email software. Because I'm
running with V4R4 (Upgrading is in the works) They no longer support their
software.
The error I am getting is: From User requires authentication.
The same error is in the AS/400 job long and on the email server log.
I don't understand why it's requiring authentication all of a sudden. I don't
see any configuration options to authenticate the User. The email is using an
email server running on a PC called Communigate Pro. The configuration of the
email server hasn't changed.
Does anyone have any ideas how I can get this running again?
