We are setting up edi with CMS Medicare, using sftp ssh2 (w/user/pwd)
and CMS requirements for this program tie the communication profile/pwd
to the same as an interactive web inquiry user (Acct Manager) and expire the pwd every 60 days.
This is a new, and as of now, not yet implemented program w/CMS (Section 111 Reporting) and they are taking
suggestions to alter the spec.
We will be connecting at least 70-100 times a day (this company represents that many
clients) and we are suggesting this is bad security as well as edi policy.
I'm looking for some published EDI and/or Security standard to reference in making
our case.
Any ideas? Have googled for a while and no luck.
