Interestingly enough, the BCS is on the internal network now so I don't have to keep running downstairs to get info from it. But the SN# reported by AMM for the blade is WAY different than the actual serial number of the blade (12 alpha numeric digits on the AMM vs 7 on the packing slip and the microscopically small label). Where do you see the "traditional" SN in the AMM that you would see using DSPSYSVAL QSRLNBR?

they manage to print the machine type and serial number so SMALL on the
blade itself? You need a microscope to read it (at least to these old
eyes). Thank goodness for packing slips!

You could just use the AMM and get the type/serial number without even
leaving your desk :)
