Has to be by industry also. As a college we have about 75M in sales and 1,100 full time employees but in the higher education world we are considered lower midrange. When you get into the billions and have 20,000 employees your considered large

Suppose a small group of two guys are selling diamonds ???

Their annual sales are going to be fairly large given the price of
the "product".

I have a client that sells commercial lines insurance.
Their annual sales are in excess of $85 million and they
employ 25 people. That is not a large company.

I thought they measure it by employee size most the time.
(whoever "they" is)
