You need a dose of small business reality.

I've restored two year old save 21's to 10 year old systems, after a
disk failed.

Yeah, but if it's under maintenance, who cares what it costs?
It's not like anyone would really try to run a business on a "Frankie"
or 
some machine they bought off of eBay cheap.

But, I suppose for home use, then the Batteries Plus idea is a good tip.
