Hi Rob

Losing the spool files is just one consideration and is by no means the decision maker - we were just assessing options to make the hardware change easier or faster. If necessary we will do an unload reload, it's no big deal.

I don't see how upgrading to V5R4 would make the replacement of the disks any easier or simpler, so it doesn't make any sense to recommend this in the context of my question.
