True. And it's great. But how do you get the virtual tape stuff to the remote system? Use CPY to copy it from the system it was saved on to the remote system via '/QFileSvr.400'? Because you cannot specify QFileSvr.400 directly in a SAV command. Or, save the virtual tape directory to a save file and then ftp or something that save file over to the remote system? The problem with the save file method is then you waste twice the disk space: Once for the virtual tape area Twice for the save file. Rob Berendt
