A save file is a special type of physical file. One member only, 528 bytes
per record. You can actually read and write yourself in using the OVRSAVF
command, although that's about as exciting as kissing your sister.

They hang around your system until you clear them (CLRSAVF) or delete them
(DLTF). Cleared save files consume nominal space.

Just tried it and it was pretty adamant about only one library per save
file.

Out of curiosity, what happens to the save files after they are created?

I create save files of all of our production libraries every night and
push them to our backup i5 where they are both stored until the next
night, and backed up to tape.
