Perhaps IBM learned their lesson with their other attempts at a "console". Twinax remains quite solid and is "plug and play" vs "plug and pray" versions of Ops Console,HMC,etc. Ethernet and reliable in the same sentence ??? Twinax cards are available from a number of sources. I would recommend a used 3488 or 3489 and a nice monitor. Basic and reliable beyond everything else. Consoles are offered a number of different ways according to the Sales manual. Twinax is not your only solution. http://tinyurl.com/zgqea Gary Kuznitz wrote:
Are they serious?Does a new 520 still need twinax for a console connection?
