Just to add a note here... Service Agent should "not" be set using QSECOFR, but by another profile with QSECOFR authorities. There are a good many PTFs that come out for Service Agent and I just realized the other day that there's a PTF group for it - SF99298. The other thing that will cause it to fail on those routine procedures like QYIVRIPS (inventory collection?), is if your QSECOFR password becomes expired. In general, I've seen Service Agent processes and configs hose themselves up more than most other items i've ever seen on an iSeries. I've had to reconfig the VPN comm setup it uses on many occasions. I'm hoping this PTF group will help stabilize it .
