Ours runs under my profile, but still will have problems when QSECOFR's password expires. Management Central's performance monitors behave the same way, when QSECOFR expires, they quit working until the password is renewed. kirkg@xxxxxxxxxxx om Sent by: To midrange-l-bounce Midrange Systems Technical s@xxxxxxxxxxxx Discussion <midrange-l@xxxxxxxxxxxx> cc 03/23/2006 08:48 AM Subject Re: Service Agent Please respond to Midrange Systems Technical Discussion <midrange-l@midra nge.com> Just to add a note here... Service Agent should "not" be set using QSECOFR, but by another profile with QSECOFR authorities. Certain parts of Service Agent will not run correctly if it's setup with the QSECOFR profile. _____________________ Kirk Goins CCNA Systems Engineer, Manage Inc. There are a good many PTFs that come out for Service Agent and I just realized the other day that there's a PTF group for it - SF99298. The other thing that will cause it to fail on those routine procedures like QYIVRIPS (inventory collection?), is if your QSECOFR password becomes expired. In general, I've seen Service Agent processes and configs hose themselves up more than most other items i've ever seen on an iSeries. I've had to reconfig the VPN comm setup it uses on many occasions. I'm hoping this PTF group will help stabilize it .
