Mine does that kind of stuff pretty frequently. There are a good many PTFs
that come out for Service Agent and I just realized the other day that
there's a PTF group for it - SF99298.

The other thing that will cause it to fail on those routine procedures like
QYIVRIPS (inventory collection?), is if your QSECOFR password becomes
expired.

In general, I've seen Service Agent processes and configs hose themselves
up more than most other items i've ever seen on an iSeries. I've had to
reconfig the VPN comm setup it uses on many occasions. I'm hoping this PTF
group will help stabilize it .

Can anyone explain why Service Agent is producing output on our system
printer that
looks like this:

com.ibm.as400.sa.svcsndr.TerminateException: Error starting profile. Excp
id: CPF9898
  at java.lang.Throwable.<init>(Throwable.java:195)
  at java.lang.Exception.<init>(Exception.java:41)
  at com.ibm.as400.sa.svcsndr.SAException.<init>(SAException.java:63)
  at
com.ibm.as400.sa.svcsndr.TerminateException.<init>(TerminateException.java:63)

  at
com.ibm.as400.sa.svcsndr.InternetService.start(InternetService.java:209)
<snip>

At least I think it's Service Agent - the jobs that's producing it is
called QYIVRIPS.
