Marty,I was going to mention that as well. VNC works great in that environment and it is "native" in the sense that PASE is a native runtime environment for AIX (vs and AIX partition). We use it all the time and have installed editing tools, browsers and other AIX GUI apps.
I just assumed that Doug was referring to "native" as in i5/OS so I didn't respond.
VNC in PASE is cool though. We run MySQL in that environment as well. Not many boxes allow all those concurrent options, although the whole virtualization movement seems to be gaining strength on all platforms.
