Funny you should mention that, Doug, as I just did. There's a VNC server in the 
"Portability Tools" PRPQ, 5799-PTL, which can be downloaded for free from IBM. 
I don't have a link handy but just do a Google. You might check it out when you 
have some time. -Marty

 It can be argued that the System i5 still can't do GUI even with HATS ,
etc..
 We still need a GUI enabled client (OS) to display a graphic interface.
 When I can do a native VNC connect to the system and see GUI then it's
there.
 
 As for the 5250 "killing" the system that depends on the application.
