I'm a little confused as to why it took you a week. The Web Service
wizard allows you to create a Web Service from a bean in about 30
seconds.

As to what you can do with MS tools, it's simple: you can quickly design
DSS software. Access data and show it in pretty screens. But there is
no infrastructure for building advanced OLTP programs. From
interplatform communications to interlanguage capabilities to database
access, the iSeries is sort of like a nitro-fueled dragster compared to
Microsoft's Pinto. The Pinto is safe and grandma can drive it, but I
don't really want grandma writing my business applications.

That's really what a lot of people are asking for: "I want my job to be
EASY!" But as soon as your job is easy, it won't be yours anymore.
It'll be shipped overseas, and then you can look for another easy job.
