Websmart is just an example, but it is a tool that can generate browser apps
in RPGLE
or Java (i use the RPGLE). The fact that IBM put them in the Roadmap means
they "are"
considering more than 1 option, 1 path to follow. There are other examples.
IBM knows we will continue lot's of RPG development. They are now filling in
all the
connectivity w/Linux, Websphere, .Net, and others.
Go to Common and other conferences (including IBM's own Technical Conf) and
see
the broader range  of topics.
