No, it's not absurd and I don't know that. You have your favorite browser. You have your enemy - Microsoft. Therefore all arguments that tend to distract from your favorite are always going to be so wrong as to be ridiculous. I don't think we are going to change each others opinions. "ANY BROWSER" compatibility simply means avoiding browser-specific nonstandard constructs, and designing pages to "degrade gracefully" with older browsers. It's no different from what I've been doing lately in QuestView: even though many of its newest capabilities are meaningless on less than a V4R2, V4R4, or V4R5 system (in at least one case, it can recognize data that can only exist on, I believe, V5R3 or later), it will still run perfectly well on a V2R3 box. -- James H.
