... and again it did not change it to uppercase.

Apparently this blank is the cause of the problem???

That makes sense. When something is in quotes, it won't convert it to uppercase. When you have a space in a parameter, it's not valid from the command-line unless it's quoted. So, it adds quotes. Then, it can't convert it to uppercase.


Maybe it'd be easier to simply convert the data to uppercase in the program that the command is calling rather than trying to get the command to do it for you....
