Actually it is correct.

Remember we're talking about an Okidata dot matrix here.  *HPPJLDRV support
requires PJL support from both the printer and the print server,
*IBMSNMPDRV support also seems to require SNMP support from the printer and
print server.

An Okidata dot matrix wouldn't handle PJL and probably doesn't handle SNMP.

There is no guarantee that printers that support Remote Output Queues
(RMTOUTQs) will also support PJL (or vice versa). In order for a *LAN PJL
device description to work, the following hardware requirements must be met:

1 The printer connected via this print driver must support the HP PJL (Print
Job Language) protocol 
2 If the printer is connected to a network adapter, the adapter must be
compatible with the printer, it must provide bi-directional communication
with the printer, and it must also pass all of the HP PJL commands to and
from the printer untouched.


There is no guarantee that printers that support *LAN 3812 PJL device
descriptions will also support SNMP (or vice versa). In order for a *LAN
SNMP device description to work, the following hardware requirements must be
met:

1 The printer connected via this print driver must support the industry
standard Host Resource Management Information Base (RFC 1514). It is highly
recommended (but not required) that the printer also support the Printer
Management Information Base (RFC 1759). 
2 If the printer is connected to a network adapter, the adapter must be
compatible with the printer and it must also support the Host Resource
Management Information Base (RFC 1514).
