You can install the APF print drivers for Windows, that allow you to "print"
to an overlay file from the Acrobat reader. The instructions for installing
and using this stuff has been posted many times in the past. If I'm not
mistaken, there was a section in the FAQ on MIDRANGE.COM that outlined the
procedure.

Subject: Need 2003 W-2 laser form bitmap for overlay

Is there a publicly-available, IRS official 2003 W-2 laser form bitmap or
other graphic format that can be imported into Microsoft Word? I did the
obvious and checked out the irs.gov website, but as far as I can tell,
they offer only info-only W2 forms. And only PDF files.

I am brand new to overlays, and I am being instructed that we create
overlays from Word documents, therefore, the W-2 laser form must be in a
format that can be imported into Word. From the Word document a series of
steps follow that turn it into an *OVL object on the 400. Can a PDF be
turned into an AS/400 overlay object?

We're at v5r2 and have:

Licensed Installed Installed
Program Description Release Status
5722AF1 AFP Utilities V5R2M0 *COMPATIBLE
5798AF3 AFP PrintSuite for AS/400 V3R7M1 *INSTALLED

TIA, GA
