As already mentioned, just print the pdf from acrobat reader using the AFP print drivers. I thought that I should point out that the last time we used Word to create overlays the results were very poor. Often it didn't work at all. Our solution was to use OpenOffice instead of Word. All the same steps apply, you just use a different word processor. The results were good and worked every time. Summary: if you are making overlays, don't use Word, use openoffice.
