See, this argument doesn't hold for operating systems, or for canned office applications. If the system is so fragile that I have to do everything manually, then it's too fragile for end users. I've written enough operating systems in my day. Heck, we had to write our own device drivers for our first Winchester disk drive (eight inches, and a whopping five megabytes!). Today, I want the disk to insert and the software to install. I want to spend my time writing business applications, not configuring Digital Certificate Managers. Joe
