Chuck -

I have a 9910-140 UPS for my 170. I know its 4 years old, but it failed during the brown-out period a good minute before the full black out. The UPS was completely useless. When the power came back, the UPS was dead (power was up for a good 5 hours before I could get in the office). I just received new batteries today, put them in, and still dead. I am stymied. There are only two buttons on the unit, you think one of them would turn it on.

Get ready for this; life has been fun around here <BG>.

So our CE was wondering if maybe the External UPS had to charge up its'
batteries (recently, 2 months ago, replaced) before it would send a strong
enough feed to the 620. I've got a call into the UPS folks too but was
wondering if this sounds plausible to you power gurus on the list ? Sounds
possible to me.

Thanks !

Chuck
