Would security settings also cause the session to "lock up" when I do an
"LS" command? Seems like I can log into the system but I can't do anything
once I get logged in.

PC FTP Creates the file while writing the data where as the as400 first
creates the destination file, then tries to open it for update.  It is the
open for update that fails.

I have access. I am able to send files all day long from a PC with the same
user id. It burps only when I use the AS/400. (V4R2).
