Slightly off-topic, but why display messages in red? A large percentage of men are color blind, and can't see the color red. I learned this by accident many years ago, when I thought I was being clever and displayed error messages in red. When I demonstrated this to the CFO of the company, he didn't think it was quite so clever. He wrestled with a new screen program for about 15 minutes, until someone told him that there was an error message on the screen. As you might well guess, he couldn't see it (he also could not see blue very well). Guess who got to pull an all-nighter "fixing" the screens?
