Vern & Ted,

The QPWDVLDPGM (password validation program) system value is used to
control which of the two types of password validation exit program will be
called, if any. Both types of password validation programs are called at
the exact same time. They are called when the CHGPWD CL command or the
Change User Password (QSYCHGPW) API is used to change a password. The are
not called for the CRTUSRPRF OR CHGUSRPRF commands. I do not know what
interface Client Access uses to change passwords.
