Re: Joe's V5R1 upgrade (was totally unrelated topic)

Joe, I have a Backup and Recovery manual in front of me and the page is 
11-30. The steps look like

1.) manual mode

2.) IPL with the lic cd 

3.) load the lic & init the system (this will wipe everything)

4.) configure disk units to ASp 1 (as long as you only use 1 asp)

5.) install the OS

6.) recover user data, etc from you tape.

The system at V5r1 wants to do some file header conversion stuff. If you want 
to force it you can do a STROBJCVN on the files in the select libraries.
