That was a statement of fact - IBM always does this - in fact it has been a surprise to me that someone as good as Buell has been allowed to stay in the job this long. His move to software group is a strong statement that he is "going places" - most execs on the rise spend time there before going on to greater things - it is part of the "rounding out" process that IBM likes to do with rising stars. As to Lief's comment - well it's too silly for words anyone who has worked with IBM as long as he has should have been expecting this for 12 months or more - I have to assume that he only made it to fulfill his daily quota of gloom and doom statements <grin> Jon Paris Partner400
