Like you also said: Sure, it's not the PC's fault that the app is 3 times slower, but since it always happens that way, maybe it is :-) We've come up with a corporate direction in one case, but first some background information. We have a nice workflow application that is Notes based. This is an ISO based system for approvals, etc. Everything from Document Control, Corrective Actions, Engineering Change Notices, APQP, etc. One thing we've discovered is that it has LOTS of huge attachments, etc. This is causing a problem with some of our remote sites. And, yes, many of them are on T1's. Now, our radio towers seem to handle it without blinking an eye. But some of the other remotes hate the several minute load time to bring up a document. Our solution? Put the remote clients on Citrix. That way just the screen, and not the remote data, is going across the line. Performs like a local client.
