Joe and others like me don't have too much time. We take time out to
help people on this "little" list.

One thing to note, many people in the computer industry take their
choice of systems personally. They consider it the best. Joe does a
good job of explaining why he thinks the Iseries is best for business
app's. I agree with him 100%.

So, take your name calling and have a nice holiday season. Let us know
next Christmas when your still not live, and the Iseries is still
waiting for the cutoff date ;-) I know of a few Iseries shops that are
still using old, outdated RPG software to run their business and make
money (some on V3R2), while the modern PC Apps written in DOT whatever
never seem to come online.

Peace....

Well, Art, because we are, that's why.

You guys act as if you think I have any input on this. Haven't you ever
worked in an organization with levels of management over you? They
didn't
ask me...they just want us to develop it and do it. So I'm researching
how.

And because my question was about AS/400 FILES, that's why it was on
your
little AS/400 list.

Jeez, man...too much time...

Joe:

Nice job. Why ask a question about Micro focus on an As/400 list?

While Joe's email may not have answered your question, it certainly had
a
lot of good questions and points.

Joe doesn't speak for everyone here, but he did a good job asking the
questions that I wanted to ask.

Why are you moving from an AS/400 to a PC/Micro Focus?
