So which of the two major real-world examples do we have to
help clear up this controversy?

Does the MicroSloppy code being closed help them at all, at
all?

What's more, can you trust MicroSloppy and mostly its
perpetrators to never ever provide themselves a sneaky back
door? One that masquerades as a "security" enhancement?
