I too have an AS/400 system home in my basement that I use just for fun. My 50S serves the web site http://dhart.no-ip.info where I post my AS/400 interests to. As a consultant I'm not able to work on things that I necessarily find interesting, but must do as the client wills. Having my own AS/400 on my home network frees me up to experiment/play. And, yes care and feeding is expensive. I would like a few additional licensed programs but not at IBM prices.
