Does creating a printer device description solve the PAGERANGE problem?
(You didn't specifically state whether it did or not.)

How do you set this up?

I have an HP LaserJet on our LAN.  Currently, I have an outq defined for
it as:
 Remote system  . . . . . . . . :  *INTNETADR
 Remote printer queue . . . . . :  'PORT1'
 Connection type  . . . . . . . :  *IP
 Internet address . . . . . . . :  172.21.0.230
 Destination type . . . . . . . :  *OTHER
 Transform SCS to ASCII . . . . :  *YES
 Manufacturer type and model  . :  *HP5SI

How would you create a printer *devd for this? DEVCLS(*LAN) TYPE(????)
MODEL(???) and all sorts of other parameters I've never seen before.
This is probably why I never went through the trouble of defining a
*devd for this printer before.
