Clever idea but not a solution.
When you sign on for first time, the message queue for that user-id belongs
to the job that signed on.
When you sign on for the second time, the message queue already belongs to a
different job.

Consider the challenge this way.

We went out and physically counted bodies using our system and terminals
involved, then we told our vendor on our word of honor that we NEVER will
have as many as 50 concurrent real person users on their software, and that
if this ever changes, we will tell them, then on that basis we got a 50 user
license. Now we recently closed a facility, which meant a drop in users, but
we also added a PC network which meant an increase in users, so we went out &
did the body & connection count again to confirm we still below the 50
threshhold.

But suppose the reality is that a company is not able to do this body &
connection count, or let's suppose there is turn over in duties & personnel &
we neglect to do another audit of this data & it changes & we do not notice,
or let's suppose the company has some dishonest MIS personnel who are trying
to cheat the software vendor.

How is the software vendor to tell the difference between the scenario of
MARY on a work station on port 7 with 6 concurrent sessions, and the scenario
of TOM DICK & HARRY on 3 work stations on port 8 all signed on with 2
sessions each using the same user-id of BILL?

Is there an API to show that distinction?
