David, Again, thanks. You wrote: "While I won't turn away a contribution, the system is not yet starving." I hope (and think) you didn't take any offense. One thing I've found, from experience, is that having too much money can actually be a problem. In that people have a natural tendency to try to let money solve problems, rather than creativity. Any doubts about that can be removed by looking at the dot-com disasters of the past year. If I hear the statement one more time: "we're re-evalutating our business model" (meaning they blew all their investors money, and now they're finally going to start looking for some way for the business to make an actual profit...) Well, I think I'm gonna blow my chow... You guys have always done an immense amount of good on just a bare minimum of resources. I wouldn't imagine that would change with any cash influx. Checked with The Boss...;-) Offer still stands...:-) If you or someone can start putting together a 501(c), and you give me an address, the check's in the mail... (But then, you've probably heard that one before....! Shewww...;-) I plan to put together a few posts today, for the new site, and then kick back and lurk for a while. Maybe work on THE MOST AMAZING WEBSITE ever... Maybe not... All that to say, David and Don, you guys are a huge asset to your iCitizens... (Don't let it go to your heads... In part, I'm just buttering you up so I don't get banned from this new site...;-) ROFLMAO... jJt -----Original Message----- From: owner-midrange-l@midrange.com [mailto:owner-midrange-l@midrange.com]On Behalf Of David Gibbs Sent: Tuesday, July 24, 2001 6:35 AM To: MIDRANGE-L@midrange.com Subject: RE: *** ADMIN: New list -- ISN-Citizens! The list is active ... instructions were in the first post of this list. The WEB INTERFACE is not active... the 2 months was a conservative estimate to get the web interface activated. The only reason for the delay is because my DSL line is not installed yet. The order, however, has been placed. While I won't turn away a contribution, the system is not yet starving. david +--- | This is the Midrange System Mailing List! | To submit a new message, send your mail to MIDRANGE-L@midrange.com. | To subscribe to this list send email to MIDRANGE-L-SUB@midrange.com. | To unsubscribe from this list send email to MIDRANGE-L-UNSUB@midrange.com. | Questions should be directed to the list owner/operator: david@midrange.com +--- +--- | This is the Midrange System Mailing List! | To submit a new message, send your mail to MIDRANGE-L@midrange.com. | To subscribe to this list send email to MIDRANGE-L-SUB@midrange.com. | To unsubscribe from this list send email to MIDRANGE-L-UNSUB@midrange.com. | Questions should be directed to the list owner/operator: david@midrange.com +---
