Carl, According to the V4R1 System Builder, the #2699 is supported on the model 400. However, it would require a #2629 LAN/WAN IOP. This could then require you to replace your #2623 LAN/WAN IOP with a #2629. I can't vouch for the entire configuration, but it looks like a straight swap of the #2623 for a #2629 and the #2699 for the #2609. From the looks of the documentation, you would need to replace all three of your #2609's. The rest of the hardware appears to be PCI which obviously does not mean the model 400. cjg Carl J. You would be restricted to a SLIP connection. I don't believe there is any comm hardware for a model 400 that supports PPP. Neil Palmer DPS Data Processing Services Canada Ltd. I am trying to configure a PPP connection using Ops Navigator. I have does many of these in the past with no problem. I am trying to configure a model 400 at V4R4 and when I try to create a new line description (again in OPs navigator), I get an error saying that the hardware in the machine does not support creating a PPP line desc. Below are the comm cards I have in this box, I had hoped to use CMN03. Can anyone verify this to be a problem, if it is what hardware for a model 400 do I need?
