Actually Carl, according to the System Builder it will support up to three 2699 IOA's, attached to a 2629 LAN/WAN/Workstation IOP. Requires V4R1 or higher. ...Neil "Carl Galgano" <cgalgano2@ediconsulting.com> Sent by: owner-midrange-l@midrange.com 2001/07/12 21:18 Please respond to MIDRANGE-L To: "Midrange List" <MIDRANGE-L@midrange.com> cc: Subject: FW: hardware question regarding config PPP connections anyone know if the 2699 will work in a model 400. The rest of the hardware appears to be PCI which obviously does not mean the model 400. cjg Carl J. A Client Access license is not needed, but the user needs the base load of Client Access to access the Operations Navigator portion. ...Neil ----- Forwarded by Neil Palmer/DPS on 2001/07/12 18:39 ----- Neil Palmer 2001/07/12 18:08 To: MIDRANGE-L@midrange.com cc: "Carl Galgano" <cgalgano2@ediconsulting.com> Subject: Re: hardware question regarding config PPP connections The message is correct. 2609's & 2612's do not support PPP. You would be restricted to a SLIP connection. I don't believe there is any comm hardware for a model 400 that supports PPP. Neil Palmer DPS Data Processing Services Canada Ltd. I have does many of these in the past with no problem. I am trying to configure a model 400 at V4R4 and when I try to create a new line description (again in OPs navigator), I get an error saying that the hardware in the machine does not support creating a PPP line desc. Below are the comm cards I have in this box, I had hoped to use CMN03. Can anyone verify this to be a problem, if it is what hardware for a model 400 do I need?
